Audio Notes Recorder 6.5
This program records sound from a microphone or any other source. As its name suggests, it’s designed for short audio recordings. It supports exporting and importing of MP3, WAV, and OGG files. It also has a feature that allows you to export executable files, containing your recording. I really don’t see the point of this feature, because anyone has an MP3 or a WAV player.
Its main window is skinnable. The skins look nice, but they are not easy-to-use. It takes a while to get used to each skin. When I changed the default skin, I didn’t know what each button of the new skin did. Furthermore, if you right-click the program’s main window, nothing happens.
The program has a nice feature called “transcription playback”. If you activate this feature, the program plays about 4 seconds of audio and then it stops. The delay allows you to write down the text of the recorded sound. Audio Notes Recorder can also add sound effects to your recordings.
